After all was said and done, the Pens lost game one to Ottawa 5-4. Karen had high spirits and knew they could bounce back for game 2. When the crowd dispersed, Karen walked down to the locker room with Natalie in tow. She smiled when she saw her friend run up to Max and just hugged him. A half hour later, Karen walked inside the house with Sidney in tow. She took off her shoes and headed into the kitchen for a glass of water.

"8:40" Natalie said.

"Shit, I need to get back."

"What time did you get back here?"

"8:15."

"I take it you made the captain feel better about the loss last night?"

"Yeah and if it wasn't for me, I would have gotten four hours instead of two" she said getting up and grabbing her drink walking out with them.

"What does that mean?"

"It was midnight after our first romp but I had to mention I had pictured him a different way during the whole game and he proceeded to obliged me. I shouldn't have said anything and waited until this afternoon to get the other way."

"Well you're halfway through your shift so keep busy and 1 o'clock will be here before you know it."

Karen had let out a sigh of relief when she looked at her watch and it told her it was 1:05. She smiled and got her stuff put away then headed to clock out. She saw Diane coming back from lunch and they talked for a few minutes as Karen got her purse from her locker. They said goodbye and Karen left heading home, praying she could stay awake for the drive back to Pittsburgh.

As she got home, Sidney wasn't there and probably still at the arena. She went to get something to drink before leaving him a note and going upstairs. About 25 minutes later, Sidney got home and didn't see Karen anywhere. He walked into the kitchen and saw a note on the counter.

"Good. Love you too baby" he said giving her another kiss before getting off the bed and leaving her alone. Three hours later, Karen got up and freshened up before going downstairs. They decided where to go for dinner and headed out for the night.
