The next night, the Men's US and Canada rivalry wasn't the only one playing for the Gold, so was the Women's teams. The guys from both Men's team went to the game and so did Karen. She found a couple of other former teammates from the '98 team and sat with them since the Men's teams were altogether. "You don't need to walk me up, I know you have your game tomorrow and want to get your head ready tonight before you go to sleep."

The next night was the Gold Medal game for the Men's Hockey teams with USA going against Canada. Before Karen left the hotel, she put on her team USA t-shirt but had her Crosby Canada Jersey over it. She felt better that she was still representing the US and supporting Sidney at the same time. When she got to the arena with Sid's parents and sister, Karen saw that they still had a little time before warm ups. Trina, Taylor and Karen went to the seats as Troy went to the locker room to see Sid.

"Yeah, she's up in the seats with your mom."

The next day, Sidney had practice but no game. Karen saw where the Women's USA team was playing and told him she wanted to watch them. He didn't deprive her of that but he had some things to do with the team before their game tomorrow night. She grabbed her jersey from when she played and headed to the arena, only to be met by a familiar face.
"Karen? Oh my God, it can't be you."
"Cammi?" she smiled and hugged her friend "I haven't seen you in ages."

During the game, the two best friends caught up and when it was over made plans to get together for dinner. The settled on a place and time before leaving each other.
When Karen got back to the hotel, she saw Sidney with his parents and Taylor in the lobby walking over to them.

"Good, but you need to go change."

As the season reached halfway, it was soon time for the Olympics. Karen would not be able to go to Vancouver with Sidney for the start of the games, but she would be there after all the preliminary games are done.
