Two weeks later and the four of them were at the airport heading on vacation. They got the earliest flight out so they could have as much time as they could in the Virgin Islands. Sidney and Max kept where they were going until they checked in for their flight and the girls were excited that's where they were heading. A couple hours later, the plane landed and the four of them got off and claimed their bags. Max had it arranged for a limo to pick them up and take them to the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful and when they went to check in, they were surprised to find out where they were staying. The hotel had six private villas on the beach and was more than generous upgrading them. They got everything situated and was escorted to the villas by the hotel manager. He showed them one, explaining the features.

"You have your own kitchen and if you walk out here to the patio, each villa has their own private hot tub. Now this villa and the one next door, share the beach within the fence and the gate will lead you to the ocean."

"This is amazing, we have our own private beach area."

"But what if the two people staying at the two villas connected weren't here together?"

"Then the staff would put up a makeshift fence to separate the two for privacy. I'm assuming since the four of you are friends, you wouldn't be needing it" he said.

Karen just looked at Natalie who shook her head "we won't be, but thanks for letting us know."

"If before your stay is over and you would like the privacy, just give me a call and we can have it up for you in a matter of an hour."

"Thanks but we'll be fine" Max said.

"Alright. If there is anything you need, just ring the front desk and we will be more then accommodating" the hotel manager said before leaving.

"Why don't we let them get comfortable Sid and head next door?" Karen said picking up her bag.

"Anxious there Kiki?" Max said smiling.

"No Maxwell, I would like to go get unpacked and changed into my bathing suit to enjoy this beautiful sunshine."

"Sounds good, we'll meet you out there in a little bit" he said as Sidney and Karen left to head next door.

Sidney unlocked the door and they walked into their new home for the next two weeks.

"I can't believe I actually got the time off approved to be here right now."

"I know" Sidney said wrapping his arms around her "we finally got our honeymoon."

"Well, you know what that means?"

"And that's any different from our normal lives back in Pittsburgh how?"

Before long, Natalie came out to join her and Sidney went over to talk to Max before they went to join their women.

A few hours later, the four friends went out to dinner together but two didn't know what else was in store for the evening. During dinner, the girls didn't stop the guys from reflecting on their season and knew it would've been done eventually. When they finished eating, Sidney and Karen walked back to the villa as Max and Natalie took a detour down by the ocean.

"Natalie, can we talk about something?"

"Of course, what's going on?"

Max stopped her short of the water and turned to look at her "ever since that first night we met at Pops, I knew I wanted you in my life. I know it's been a while since I proposed and can tell how you've been questioning my waiting to pick a date."

"I haven't been questioning it as much as wondering if you were finding time to get yourself out of it. If you don't want to get married yet, I'm fine with a long engagement. But just don't keep stringing me along if you want this to be over."

"I don't want it to be over Nattie, I love you with all my heart. That's the reason I brought you down here."

"What are you talking about Max?"

"I do want to marry you Natalie...I want to marry you tonight."

Meanwhile, Sidney and Karen got closer to their villa and his cell phone rang. After he hung up, he unlocked the door and headed inside.

"Feel like helping me?"

"Do what?"

"The reason Max brought Natalie here is they're getting married tonight."

"WHAT?" Karen said excitedly.

"He wanted the perfect setting and we were the lucky two to witness it."

"Oh my God, Nat must be freaking out."

"She probably is, but I told Max that we would get some tiki torches lit and set up on the beach before they got here."

"Ok, and I'll get some towels and put down as a make shift aisle." As they got everything ready, there was a knock at the door. Sidney let the preacher in and thanked him for coming even though it was late. A few minutes later, Max and Natalie showed up. He told her to go to the bedroom and asked Karen to go help her get ready. They went in and Natalie saw a box on the bed. She opened it, revealing a beautiful dress with spaghetti straps. She changed into it and Karen fixed her hair quickly before freshening up her makeup. Before long, the girls came out and saw Max and Sidney standing by the tiki torches waiting for them. Karen handed a flower to Natalie as she took one and walked before her towards the guys. Natalie soon followed and stood beside Max.

"We are gathered here tonight to join Max and Natalie together in marriage. The love and life you two will share, is much greater than anything else in this world. Max, do you take Natalie to be your wedded wife, to love and to cherish every day for the rest of your life?"

"I do" Max said smiling at his bride.

"Natalie, do you take Max to be your wedded husband. To love and cherish every day for the rest of your life?"

"I do" she said as the tears cascaded down her cheeks. Sidney and Karen just looked at each other and smiled as their best friends got married.

"Do you have rings to exchange?" Max handed the rings to the preacher and he blessed them before handing each other one to put on their fingers. After they got the rings on, Max and Natalie stood there and looked into each other's eyes. "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. Max, you may kiss your bride."

Max stepped closer to Natalie and brought his hand up to caress her cheek as their lips met for an incredible kiss. They broke apart a few minutes later and thanked the preacher again for marrying them at a moment’s notice. He bid them good luck and goodnight before leaving them alone.

"Oh Nattie, I am so happy for you" she said hugging her friend.

"Swear to me you didn't know about any of this."

"I didn't know, I swear. I heard about it the same time you said yes. I guess that means we're both on our honeymoon" she said as they both laughed.

Max and Sidney came back with glasses of champagne, handing a glass to each of their wives.

"Thank you to both my best friends for being here to help make this special for my wife and I. Karen, thank you for bringing this beautiful lady into my life and helping me win her over."

"Just take care of her Maxwell. She's my best friend and I don't want anything bad to happen to her."

"I plan on it for the rest of my life" he said turning to her for a kiss "and to my wife Natalie, the one who makes the bad days good and the good days even better. I love you and can't wait to start the rest of my life with you from tonight on."

"Congratulations you two, may you both love each other as much as Karen and I do. To Max and Natalie" Sidney said as they all raised their glasses and took a drink saluting the happy couple. Karen saw Max whisper into Natalie's ear and knew they would be leaving for the night. As they headed inside, Sidney put his glass down and took Karen's from her hand before leading her towards the water.

"I gotta tell ya baby, seeing them get married makes me want to marry you all over again."

"I guess we could go for the trifecta" she said smiling.

"Maybe I'm being serious." Sidney looked deep into her eyes and held both her hands "I, Sidney Patrick take you Karen Michelle to always be my wife. Through home games and road ones, I will remember my love for you goes deeper than just what other people see. I found my true love when I found you."

Karen wiped away a stray tear "I, Karen Michelle take you Sidney Patrick to forever be my husband. Between spectacular goals, multiple Stanley Cups and nagging injuries, I will stand in every arena cheering for you. I also found my true love when I found you."

"Since we don't need rings we can skip that part."

"Thank god since I have more than enough jewelry from you."

"Um, no."
